Very Good

Comfortable beds, large spacious room, exceptional breakfast, great position.lovely gardens. Bad: Workmen making a noise working in the next bedroom u till late at night. One of the Male reception staff wasnt interested in helping us. Most of the staff were exceptional just one was rude and abrupt. Also would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Comfortable hotel in a great location

Fantastic location right in the pedestrian area of Bad Reichenhall. The hotel was old, but a very large room and clean. Breakfast was fantastic. The pool area was clean.

Great location. Bad: Everything is looking a bit tired. Carpets in rooms should have been replaced at least a decade ago

My child really enjoyed a swimming pool. (It was only 1.3m depth pool, so that I had to always take care him) When we visited this place, it was a christmas buffet in restaurant and it was great experience.

Traditional old hotel, does need updating but didn't spoil experience for us, large comfortable room, everything you could want, tv, shower, lovely bed and linen, very clean. Large restaurant, great food reasonable price and service was friendly and helpful. Situated in the middle of a lovely town surrounded by the Alps.

Will be back..

Good Location Good staff Bad: Room was too far from reception. Delivery of food to the room at €10 is too much. Front needs paiting.

A little part of paradise.

Location is fantastic. Initially I was given a large but somewhat depressing room, facing a dense tree garden, but we asked for a different room. That room's view to the mountains and neighboring Park and gardens was priceless. Exquisite. The swimming pool was a true gem. Bad: Initially, the pillows were terrible, but the very competent Reception brought us much better ones. The breakfast variety is not satisfactory and the elevators were frequently out of order, we were on fourth floor! But couldn't change room again.

Exceptional

Clean and spacious rooms. The location is great, right in the middle of the city Center Bad: One of the receptionist on check in wasn’t very nice, but the check out receptionist was very nice and friendly.

Great location

Beautiful small town/village, very cozy town with lots of shopping and culture surrounded with mountains. Hotel was very nice with two amazing restaurants. 30minutes from Salzburg on the other side of boarder. Boarder crossing is seamless.

Good

Good size room + breakfast had a good variety. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Bad Reichenhall is a charming small town only 15 min drive from Salzburg. Bad: One can see that it used to be a Grand Hotel but it can do with a serious refurbishment. Wifi connection wasn't working well had to continuously reconnect. There are much simpler and user friendly solution to provide guests access to the internet. The pillows were oversized and uncomfortable but next morning on request the reception provided smaller sized pillows.

Step back in history and experience this gracious if faded hotel.

I loved this hotel-- it was like walking into history. The hotel was beautifully designed for a past era of grace and comfort, and now trying to cope with modern times. You'll either love it or hate it-- we LOVED it. I loved the formal breakfast room with lovely views of the large garden. I loved our enormous bathroom with bidet and double sinks and huge multi-faucet bathtub. The room was soothing and well appointed with historic furniture. Part of the carpet in our room was literally threadbare, but for me it felt appropriate-- this is a hotel that has been truly lived in and loved, and it doesn't diminish its charm. Original paintings and tapestries hang on the wall atop grand staircases. The indoor pool was large and fun, and we walked around the largely unused treatment room area after, and you can feel the ghosts of past generations taking the cure. The staff are pretty heroic-- they are understaffed, and yet somehow the hotel was really clean and welcoming, and the breakfast and dinner (we did half board) were well-cooked and courteously served. This hotel is well located for both daytime spa activities and the evening concerts in the park. l will be back, sooner rather than later, because I am afraid that some management consultant will come along and either close it or gut this faded but gracious grande dame into a faceless, overpriced chain hotel. Staying in this hotel was a singular, memorable experience, and I hope others have the opportunity! Bad: The sauna was broken-- clearly they don't have a huge renovation budget, but I'd like to see them give that some priority. The great pool deserves a good sauna!

Comfortable, clean hotel and a fantastic historical building.

Excellent hotel. Clean comfortable and in a great location. watch out if you are driving as sat nav will take you to the Hotel via limited access area. Very nice traffic warden helped me. Drive to the main train station and take Mozartstraße. Follow it round. You can take the pedestrian only zone and then take first left just before the hotel and enter the car park but even better is to continue up the hill on Mozartstraße and take the right hand turning signed to the hotel car park. Despite the anxiety of getting it all wrong I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Swimming pool excellent. Great breakfast. Will definitely return. Bad: Once there all good

Good

We were in a rush and were able to check in very late 23:00 in the evening. Good breakfast! Pool was nice as well. Bad: The hotel is a bit shabby. Needs to be renovated. The bed was WAY too soft.

Splendid Hotel

What a splendid hotel in the German alps. From checkin to dinner, this Wyndham Grand has charm. The central location makes it a breeze to explore the town. The property is large and includes a spa and pool.

Fantastic stay and good location!

Big room, comfortable bed, good breakfast, friendly staff. The area is quiet so we were able to sleep with the windows open and enjoyed waking up to birds singing in the morning. Included in the price was a buffet breakfast with hot & cold items. The buffet was well stocked and the items available were of an excellent quality - eggs, bacon, around 5 types of bread, many jams and jellies, fresh veggies, veggie dip, muesli, many cold cuts and cheese. The hotel staff was very friendly and spoke several languages.

Great surroundings, nice establishment, nice swimming pool, silly Internet

Breakfast was fine, kind of stereotype though. Location is spectacular, to be able to live and breathe by those mountains, I guess I could have discarded the private bathroom. Nice personnel, eager to help. Nice swimming pool too, 15 m long, you can really swim, not just take a feet bath. The local Philharmonic (very good !) is just across the street, with great performances almost every day, at incredible low prices. The park nearby and the one around the hotel are absolutely splendid, especially now. Bad: Wi-fi is terrible ! You need a separate password for each device (laptop and cellphone for instance) and in my case the one for the cell didn't work even after changing it. Even with the one that works, the system is totally senile and you have to reconnect 5 times / day. They must have an idiotic provider with cold-war-espionage nostalgia. You step outside and you have the area VLAN valid for 10 acres at least, for any device. Still it's not a solution when it rains. My bathroom didn't have a ventilator and the sliding door was not hermetic, so unpleasant smells took time to fade away. Time and opening the French window, which chilled the room.
